A Round-Up of Week 2's Subway Players of the Week.
Junior Softball:
Anna Gatto (Bruins)
Anna had a fantastic double header weekend. She had a strong showing at the plate, posting 2 triples and going 4 for 4. She also had a shutout afternoon from the mound with no earned runs. Great game Anna...well done!
Senior Softball:
Lieli Vessali (Bruins)
Lieli pitched 12 innings over 2 games to earn a tie and a win for the Bruins. Leili also scored in the win against the Bulldogs.
Senior Baseball:
Dorian Fredrick (Bulls)
Dorian had a solid performance anchoring the DLL Durham Bulls’ defence at shortstop on their way to victory. Offensively, he went 3/5 AB with 3 RBI’s helping the Bulls establish an early lead that they never relinquished. Dorian is a first year Sr Baseball player, having just moved up from Intermediate Baseball.
Intermediate Baseball:
Sai Karia (Bandits)
Sai went 3 for 3, scored one run and drove in three runs, leading the way for the River Bandits win.
Minors Baseball:
Claudio Gomez Jr (Hooks)
Claudio came out as the Hooks starting pitcher, completing a shutout in the first two innings with 6 strike-outs while batting 2 for 2 with a single and double.
Peewee Baseball:
Thalia Hill (Mudcats)
Thalia is a first year Pee Wee player. She had three hits, made some great defensive plays and had an incredible attitude.
