A Round-Up of Week 5's Subway Players of the Week.
Senior Softball:
Anaka Brawn ( Butler Bulldogs)
Anaka Brawn had a great game both offensively and defensively for the Butler Bulldogs as they went on to beat the UCLA Bruins 5-3. Anaka went 2-3 at the plate with 3 key RBIs. Two RBIs to take the lead early in the game and 1 to take the lead for good late in the game.
Senior Baseball:
Joshua Jamal (Durham Bulls)
Josh played a solid game behind the plate allowing no passed balls, throwing down runners attempting to steal and settling down the team defense after a shaky start. Offensively, he hit a timely 2 RBI triple to put the DLL Durham Bulls up for good.
Intermediate Baseball:
Connor Hall (Hooks)
Connor pitched 3 innings, allowing only one unearned run on 2 hits. He struck out 6 batters and threw only 40 pitches. At the plate, he had a triple and scored one run.
Minors Baseball:
Yohji Yoshida (Hooks)
Yohji made two hits to the outfield and pitched a great closing innings.
Peewee Baseball:
Valentina Gomes (Rockhounds)
Valentina is only a second year player and has come a long way. She is playing great defence and consistently getting hits. Yesterday, she went 4 for 4 with an RBI and scored 4 runs.
