A Round-Up of Week 8's Subway Players of the Week.
Senior Softball:
Kylee Pett (Tar Heels)
Kylee played five solid innings catching, shutting down the Bruin’s running game. Kylee went 2 for 2 batting (and 2 BB), including a 3RBI double to kickstart the Tar Heels’ offense.
Senior Baseball:
Faizan Waheed (Mudhens)
Faizen Waheed played outstanding defense in helping the Mudhens to a 10-3 win over the Bulls. The right fielder was responsible for securing all 3 outs in the 4th inning with fine running catches- with 2 Bulls on base. Waheed also added an infield hit and another nice catch in RF in the top of the 7th.
Intermediate Baseball:
Liam Zoretic (Tides)
Leading the way for the Tides win, Liam caught 4 innings and had three hits, in his first opportunity at the top of the batting lineup. He also scored three runs and had a stolen base.
Intermediate Baseball:
Ryu Asano (Hooks)
Ryu had an outstanding game, helping the Hooks defeat the Tides. Ryu pitched 2 innings, did not allow any runs and had 3 strikeouts. At the plate, he had 3 RBI.
Minors Baseball:
Ewan Moon (Tides)
Peewee Baseball:
Joey Khoury (Mudcats)
Big bat and very impressive hard line drive catch.
